Java and Flash Available Together with Sony Erickson
Sony Ericsson unveiled a new technology to enable developers combine the best of Java and Flash in the same applications. According to the company, developers can now combine Adobe’s Flash Lite and Java ME into a single Java application.
The company also plans to release a set of APIs (application programming interfaces) and a software development kit in the second half of this year to bring the two different mobile development styles together.
According to Ulf Wretling, General Manager at Sony Ericsson, “Java developers would be able to decide using the richer user interface technology found in Flash Lite”.
The unique features of this technology allow the developers to create regular Java or Flash applications using this set of APIs.
