Codegear Introduced Software Development And Code Reuse Tools For Java Developers

CodeGear , provider of developer tools, has announced the availability of JBuilder 2008, the latest version of its IDE for the Java platform.

The new release contains a methodology and the associated collection of tools called Application Factories, which according to the company offers a new approach to software development and code reuse.

In addition, other new features of JBuilder 2008 include comprehensive support for Swing layouts, collaboration and team-Development Tools team and Insight Project Assist, code coverage, memory and CPU profiling, thread debugging and Request Analyzer, UML modeling and code metrics and audits.

JBuilder 2008 is based on Eclipse 3.3 and Eclipse Web Tools Platform 2.0 and supports Java EE 5 and JDK 5th. The new version runs on Microsoft Windows XP (SP2), Microsoft Windows Vista, Mac OS X (10.4/Tiger) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 JBuilder 2008 is available in three editions namely, JBuilder 2008 Turbo, JBuilder 2008 Professional (from 499 dollars) and JBuilder Enterprise 2008 (1499 dollars).
