Apple has released an update for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard), providing support for Java SE 6 version 1.6.0_05.

According to Apple, this updates is no replacement for the existing installation of J2SE 5.0 or change the standard version of Java. The release is only for Mac OS X 10.5.2 or later and is responsible for 64- bit Intel-based Macs.

Java Reference Library appends the released features for software developers.
