The new build system
Gradle has been published by Hans Dockter Gradle. The system uses Groovy for its build scripts. The Gradle project is automated by its Gradle build. It runs on Teamcity and Bamboo and it is available with the following features:
- Build a tool that works like Ant
- Switchable, build-by-convention frameworks a la Maven (for Java and Groovy projects)
- Support for multi-project builds
- Dependency management based on Apache Ivy
- Support for existing Ivy or Maven repository infrastructure
- Support for transitive dependency management without the need for remote repositories and pom.xml or ivy.xml files
- A wrapper for the execution of Gradle builds on machines, where Gradle is not installed (such as continuous integration servers)
- Groovy build scripts
